May 2024 Agenda – Parish Council Meeting
The Gedney Hill Parish Council Meeting will take place in the Parish Pavilion, North Road, Gedney Hill, PE12 0NL on Monday 20 May 2024, following the Annual Meeting held at 6.30pm.
You are hereby requested to attend the Parish Council Meeting of the above Council on 20th May 2024 at 6.30pm Your attendance is also required for the 15 minute Public forum, this will take place at the start of the meeting and is open for the Public to ask questions or make statements.

Public Forum (15 minutes)
The Agenda is as follows:
1. Apologies for absence and acceptance.
2. Election of Chair.
3. Election of Vice Chair.
4. Declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 and consideration of any requests for dispensation.
5. Approve the draft minutes of the meeting held on 18 March 2024.
6. Matters arising from last meeting:
i) To discuss any issues relating to the Parish Pavilion
a) CCTV
b) Disabled Access
c) Storage Area
ii) Updating the bus stops
iii) Public Footpaths
iv) Speedwatch group
v) Lamppost Poppies
vi) Litter picking session
7. Grass and Cemetery maintenance.
8. Insurance renewal.
9. Use of Website Administrator.
10. Planning
i) To discuss current planning applications
ii) To discuss consultations and concerns.
11. Clerk’s Report
12. Financial Matters
i) To update on accounts – end of year
ii) To update on accounts – to date income and expenditure year to date.
iii) To review and approve the financial statements and the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) for the year 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
Agree to sign the Certificate of Exemption confirming that:
• The authority was in existence on 1st April 2020
• In relation to the preceding financial year (2022/23), the external auditor has not:
- issued a public interest report in respect of the authority or any entity connected with it
- made a statutory recommendation to the authority, relating to the authority or any entity connected with it
- issued an advisory notice under paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 8 to the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 (“the Act”), and has not withdrawn the notice
- commenced judicial review proceedings under section 31(1) of the Act
- made an application under section 28(1) of the Act for a declaration that an item of account is unlawful, and the application has not been withdrawn nor has the court refused to make the declaration
• The court has not declared an item of account unlawful after a person made an appeal under section 28(3) of the Act.
iv) To Complete the Annual Governance statement.
13. To advise of any items to be added to the next meeting agenda.
14. Meeting dates for 2024/25
Members of the public wishing to speak on any matters on the agenda, other than during the Public Forum, must ask permission from the Chairman.
